Default Post what you've got

I guess i'll kick off the SN95 board with my rides. My pride and joy 1997 Cobra [mods below] 2006 F150 FX4 super crew w/ Edge programmer and Flowmaster 50 series catback and a 2004 Escape [wifes] stock. After riding in the Cobra she won't let me do anything to the Escape

Default Buying a Cobra

Just wanted to get everyones opinion on this 1994 Cobra I am hoping to get bought. It has 137,000 miles, white with black interior, body is pristine and 100% factory, has several mods on the 5.0 (i.e.) E series cam, MSD, bored .030, etc. pretty much your basic mods for a 5.0 Cobra. the asking price is $7,995.00. Like I said I am hoping to be able to make this purchase before it is picked up by another cobra lover, only thing in my way is the sale of my current 2003 Ford F-150... Let me know what you all think about the car. Have a link for it if ya want to check it out.

I used to have a Rio Red 94 GT. It was a blast. Put on a Cobra front bumper cover, 94/95 Cobra decklid and spoiler, 10th anny Cobra brakes, 99 Cobra wheels, a Saleen heat extractor hood and c-springs. It was a blast, I was about a month out from installing some TFS TW heads and a ported Cobra intake when it got totalled

I bought my 94 Lightning not long after and have owned it for 3 years now and surprisingly don't miss the Mustang as much as I thought I would.

Thats because you have the better ride now. IMHO. The mustangs are cool, but there is nothing better than a fast truck. Lightning to be specific! And I should know. I'm on my 3rd Lightning, and I have had 9 mustangs. Every thing from a 69 to the 08.

I just want to say I think BLWNBYU's Cobra is one of the nicest I've ever seen. I love these cars in white.

In fact, the only two changes I'd make to my car is I wish it was white and it was a vert.

Here's my car:

Black/Black 1998 Cobra #2853 with 50000 miles on it. I have the original window sticker and a 2" thick stack of receipts to go with the car.
  • Modular Powerhouse built 4.6 short block with Manly pistons, mod max rods, forged Cobra crank, billet oil pump gears, tri-metal bearings, ARP head studs/rod bolts, etc, etc, etc... It's built for boost at 8.5:1 compression.
  • Meziere chrome idler electric water pump
  • ATI balancer
  • SHM Stage II ported heads that Boss330 put in what I believe were Comp valves and springs. (You need heavier than stock springs to not float under turbo conditions. You get a lot of pressure on the back side of the valve.)
  • 200 amp power master alternator
  • 03/04 Cobra T56 with 0 miles on it. It came from Dave King after he had it completely rebuilt. It's got a 26 spline input shaft and billet TOB retainer
  • MGW shifter.
  • 03/04 Cobra Aluminum driveshaft.
  • Billet Flywheel
  • Spec 26 spline Stage III clutch
  • Built rear including fresh black powder coating
  • 31 spline Superior axles
  • Eaton Posi
  • 3.55 gears
  • welded axle tubes
  • T/A aluminum differential cover
  • Griggs Suspension, including powder coated K member and A arms, Severe Duty torque arm, lower control arms, Coil over with Koni shocks (Single adjustable up front, double out back)
  • Maximum Motorsports CC plates
  • Flaming River sportsman power rack
  • Griggs steering shaft
  • Twin 60mm Master Power turbo kit. .63 AR with custom Kooks headers.
  • Twin Tial 38MM waste gates
  • Tial 50MM BOV
  • Turbosmart eBoost2 boost controller
  • Front mount intercooler
  • All pipes, both hot side and cold side, are coated with 2000 degree thermodynamic ceramic coating.
  • High flow oil pump system to empty oil from turbos
  • Custom oil filter relocation setup
  • COMPLETE fuel system including: Glenn's Performance sumped/baffled fuel tank, twin external Bosch fuel pumps, stainless braided lines from fuel pumps to Aeromotive regulator to UPR 5/8" fuel rails, and back to the pump. From the tank to the fuel pumps it's got push lock hose, the two pumps, and both 100 and 10 micron Aeromotive fuel filters.
  • High Impedance 83# injectors. The work with the stock computer and do not require an injector driver
  • KB Boost A Spark
  • Brand new Ford coil packs
  • Apten mod upgraded with a brass fitting. (No worry about it letting go and spraying the tires with coolant like the plastic fitting tends to do.)
  • JLAudio 10w3V2 Stealth box in the trunk. (Brand new, replaced 5/12/09) It's the one that goes into the corner of the trunk and you can't really tell it's there unless you know what you're looking at.
[8]Pioneer Premier DEH-P410UB head-unit. (iPod hookup built in)
  • Phoenix Gold amp to power it.
  • Infiniti 6X8 components up front (woofer and tweeter)
  • kicker 6X8's in the back deck
  • Dynamat extreme on floorboards
  • 2 AutoMeter EGT gauges to monitor the turbos. One for each bank
  • Corbeau A4 Microsuede seats with brackets. The seats are new.
  • Kaenan "Saleen" heat extractor hood
  • Custom ABC Exclusive front bumper. It looks like the stock Cobra bumper with a little bit of a lip on the bottom similar to a Cobra R.
  • Harlan shift light
  • OEM Saleen S281 spoiler.
  • "Saleen" side skirts
  • Aluminum finish 03 Cobra 17X9 wheels up front with 275 series Michelin Pilot sport tires (almost new)
  • Aluminum finish AFS 03 Cobra replica 17X10.5 wheels out back with 315 Nitto Drag Radials.
  • Kenny Brown Sub-frame connectors.

I'm sure I'm missing stuff, but that's all the important parts.
