Default tuning?

ok so when you take your car to a place to be tuned, do they use their own computers and software? or do they use a Diablo, Predator, SCT, or Superchips Tuner?

when i got tuned they used there computer. found the best file up loaded it to the hand held tuner. installed it in my truck and tweaked it from there.

as for the hand held,it depends on that the tuner chooses.

ok my other question is, at some point in the near future, I will be going with a Modular Powerhouse 800 HP forged shortblock, a KB 2.6 Blowzilla, and an RPM Transmissions T-56 6 speed transmission and putting down about 600 hp at the rear wheels.

will a place like Modular Powerhouse be able to custom tune the engine?

Actually. The people at KB would be my first choice for a custom tune. But, any one with experience can tune your set up. It's just a matter of who you trust.

IMHO. Manny @ HPP racing is the best Mustang tuner around, and his 8.8 sec. 1/4 mile daily driven mustang should be proof enough he's a good mustang tuner. But I would never let him touch my Lightning.

my motor in my 4.6 right now is all stock, but say I grab an SCT 2 Tuner off ebay. if I tune my car with the SCT, and later revert it back to stock, and then get the new forged motor and blower put in, can the dealer delete the tunes and add their own tunes that would be customized to the new engine and blower?

Yeah as long as you have the SCT programmer all you have to do is plug it in and you can delete, add or customize you tunes.
